Software troubleshooting is the process of scanning, identifying, diagnosing and resolving problems, errors and bugs in software. It is a systematic process that aims to filter out and resolve problems, and restore the software to normal operation.

To save time and money here some simple troubleshooting that you can do before you bring it to computer expert. Try to solve computer issues by yourself, below is common problems and some possible solutions.
Computer Boots but won't launch windows
• Can you boot into safe mode? if yes the problem is likely to be something software related rather than hardware. Run malware, virus scans.
• Try using system restore if you can boot to safe mode or recovery to restore to a previous date.
• If you can’t boot into safe mode try booting into your computers repair my computer mode to fix start-up issues.
Computer running very slow or sluggish
• Check that no antivirus scans are running.
• Close some programs if running multiple programs.
• Scan your computer systems with antivirus.
• Low memory. Add or Upgrade your Memory.
Applications run slow / Can't install application
• You may have a problem with your Operating system.
• You may have a problem with your application.
• Your operating system may require some updates.
• Your computer may not have enough disk space.
• Delete some unnecessary files and programs.
• You can scan, clean, and optimize your hard drive.
Application won't work
• Maybe the application that your using is corrupted or some files are missing.
• Try to download another fresh copy of application that your using but in different website.
• Try to reinstall the application. Run and use the application for a while and see if application runs normal and no error.
Show hidden files
01 In the search box on the taskbar, type folder.
02 From the search results find and select the file name Show hidden files and folders.
03 Select Folder Options, then select the View tab.
04 Under Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then select OK.
Recover deleted files
• Check the recycle bin.
• Use your backup.
• Try file recovery software.
Fatal error and Runtime error
Fatal error is an error that causes a program to terminate without any warning or saving its state. A fatal error, upon occurring, aborts the application currently running, and may cause the user to lose any unsaved changes made in the program.
Runtime is the time a program on your computer starts and stops running. The most common reason for runtime errors is a corrupt registry.
Fatal errors and Runtime errors indicate the fact that there are bugs in the program or software. Another reason you get this error is if your computer runs out of memory or faulty memory.
• Try to add or replace your computer memory.
Blue Screen of Death (BSoD)
• a damaged software or hardware failure.
• It can also be a corrupt DLL file.
• It can be some problem with the drives.
• Use a software that can help you fix the BSoD.
• Chance that you PC have faulty memory. Replace it.
• Chance that you PC have faulty hard disk. Replace it.
• Restart or reboot the computer.
Note: It is important that you to read what is writen in the Blue Screen to determine the cause of error.
Missing Dynamic-Link Library (DLL) file
• Download them from the internet back into the PC.
• Use a software that can replace the missing DLL files.
PC auto shutdown or restart
Determine if the problem is cause by hardware failure or software error. If is a software problem then here is some possible solution.
• Check if your systems is infected with a virus.
• Scan your computer systems with antivirus.
• Try to run system restore.
• Try to run a Startup Repair.
Makes your computer like a "brand new"
If you already tried all posible solution to fix the damaged files on your computer systems or tried to eliminate the virus in your pc but does not work.
The last thing you can do is reformat your computer and reinstall a fresh copy of windows. Make a clean install of windows is like creating a brand new computer.
